Cross the karst plateau practicing Nordic Walking along the ridge path to fill your eyes with a breathtaking view even to the Adriatic Sea in the background.

The sign of its landscape in the woods is unmistakable and during the night it is impossible not to recognize its howl. To make your adventure hiking tour unique, wait for the sun to go down and take a stand on the Voltigno plain. An indescribable emotion!

The guided hiking will take place in the Gran Sasso National Park, located in Apennines heart, between three regions: Abruzzo, Lazio and Marche.

           Day 1

• 17.00 - Arrival at the Environmental Education Center and meeting with the environmental guide
• 18.30 - Free afternoon
• 20.00 - Typical dinner at the Environmental Education Center
• 21.00 - Screening of a documentary on the Apennine wolf. Immediately after the screening, a short practical lesson with the nature photographer and documentary maker Alessandro Di Federico on the techniques of photographic trapping, sighting, birdwatching that will be useful to us during the trek.

           Day 2

• 7.30 - Breakfast.
• 8.00 am - Transfer to the Piana del Voltigno and departure of the trekking with a mid-mountain guide. In the karst plateau, between ephemeral lakes and sinkholes, you will be able to observe the traces of the wolf in the beech woods, learn about its world and its prey. 13.30 - Packed lunch. Afternoon dedicated to trekking with sightings, photographic trapping.
• 19.30 - Dinner
• 21.00 - Stand in the Voltigno plain to listen to the howling of wolves
• 23.00 - Return to the Environmental Education Center and overnight.

           Day 3

• 8.00 - Breakfast
• 9.00 - Transfer to the Museum of the Environmental Education Center in Popoli, in the Maiella National Park. Visit to the museum and excursion to the reserve to admire the wolf and its prey.
• 13.30 - Lunch in a local restaurant
• 15.00 - Greetings
